When you're seeking help for an overwhelming problem, you want to be confident that the counsel you're receiving is reliable and true. We get that. You should be confident that you're choosing the right place.
In the first video in our series, The Pure Life Difference, we answer the question, “Why does Pure Life Ministries use biblical counseling rather than psychology?”
Simply making the move to rural Kentucky will prove to be a major help. The Residential Program acts as a buffer to the world, filtering out ungodly influences and sources of temptation. Harmful relationships are ended, and the area of so many past defeats is left far behind. Spending nine months on our peaceful 45-acre campus provides men a tremendous opportunity to begin a new life with God.
Our low student-to-counselor ratio allows our staff to invest personally and consistently with each student. Our counselors have not only been trained and certified in biblical counseling, but they have all graduated from the Residential Program themselves. They speak from their own hard-fought battles to overcome sexual addiction and share the biblical answers that propelled them into a victorious life.
A central component of our program is its structured pathway into disciplined living. This is a vitally important element for men who have a history of lacking self-control in their lives. Ultimately, however, the most influential factor in the transformation of a sexual addict’s heart and life is an encounter with the Living God. The Lord’s presence permeates the campus in a very special way, and He has freedom in His hand for any who wish to appropriate it.
It’s no wonder that so many men are forever changed after spending nine months living at Pure Life Ministries.

Life at our residential facility consists of a full schedule designed to help you seek the Lord. Highlights include:
Sunday morning and Thursday evening chapel services
One-on-one counseling
Accountability and Bible classes
Small group prayer sessions
A weekly teaching video or Christian movie
In addition to the weekly schedule, you will be given a regimented homework routine and shown how to develop a strong daily devotional life.
While in the program, most of our students will be assigned a job in the local community. Working will provide you with both a steady source of income and an opportunity to put into practice the spiritual principles you are learning. Occasional exceptions are made in unique situations on a case-by-case basis.
Before arriving you will be required to pay a $1,500 Induction Fee (which includes your first 2 weeks of program fees).
After completing two weeks in the program, the Program Fee is $225 per week for the remainder of your stay.
The 9-month program is divided into three segments.
Foundations is the first two months of your program. Your specially trained Foundations Counselor will help you settle in and adjust to the Residential Program schedule as you begin to lay the groundwork for overcoming a life dominated by sexual sin.
Phase One is months 3-6 of your program. It is structured to provide you with the key biblical principles needed to achieve lasting victory over sexual sin by dealing with the root issues of your addiction.
Phase Two is months 7-9 of your program. The basic structure and accountability during this transitional phase affords you greater freedom to put into practice what you've been learning and focuses on preparing you to sustain a victorious Christian walk after you have completed the program.
The short answer is that, in our experience, that’s how long it takes to dismantle the habits and thought patterns that have developed through years of sexual sin.
